Statement
Samuel Bryan Owen was born in Albuquerque, New Mexico, to William and Kathy Owen and currently lives in San Francisco. His art is about things like overcoming worry, perceived yet unrealistic threats, and the coping mechanisms both effective and ineffective that people use to deal with these problematic situations. It is about ascension into the realm above these detractors- and the harmony that can be found there. Sammy's process is one that, in his own words, is full of mistakes, but not in a cop-out sense, rather, in a sense of working and fighting like hell as hard as one can to correct them. Thanks.
